FERNS OF TASMANIA

Dicksonia antarctica ([dik-so-nee-uh an-TARK-tih-kuh]) is a stunning evergreen tree fern native to eastern Australia. Found thriving in the cool, moist environments of Tasmania, it also grows naturally in coastal and upland regions of New South Wales, southeast Queensland, and Victoria. A proud member of the Dicksoniaceae family, Dicksonia antarctica is widely known by several common names, including Man Fern, Soft Tree Fern, Woolly Tree Fern, and Tasmanian Tree Fern. Renowned for its majestic fronds, fibrous trunk, and ability to create a prehistoric, rainforest feel, it’s a favourite in landscape design for both residential gardens and commercial green spaces.
